EMERGENCY services were called out to help an injured surfer at Gullane last night (Thursday).
Coastguard teams from Fisherrow and North Berwick were joined by the Scottish Ambulance Service at Gullane Beach at about 7.45pm.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed the male surfer was conscious and breathing.
The call-out ended a busy day for the Fisherrow Coastguard team.
At about 2.50pm, the team were paged to assist Police Scotland with a high-risk missing person search in Fife.
They were joined by teams from South Queensferry, Leven, Kinghorn and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 199.
The person was traced safe and well.
