A 43-YEAR-OLD man was seriously assaulted in Prestonpans in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on Preston Road at about 12.20am.
Officers are keen to speak to a young female witness, believed to be about 17 years old and who was wearing a dark jacket at the time.
A group of youths were also seen in the area around the time of the incident and police are keen to speak to anyone with information that would help identify them.
