NEARLY £500 was stolen from a purse in a Haddington restaurant.
The purse was stolen after being left on a table in the Golden Grain, on the town's High Street.
Constable Lynn Black said: “Theft of £480 from within a purse left lying unattended on a table within a restaurant, High Street, Haddington.”
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information on the incident, which took place on April 19, should contact Police Scotland on 101.
