MEDICATION has been stolen from a house in Musselburgh.

Police are appealing for information after diazepam, amlodipine, losartan, and trazodone tablets were stolen from a property on Rothesay Place during Sunday night.

Other items were also stolen from the property.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "These items can cause significant harm if taken by someone who has not been prescribed this by a medical professional.

"If you have taken any substance not prescribed for you and feel unwell, seek medical help immediately.

"Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area, or who has any information on the whereabouts of the medication, is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0899 of May 7.

"Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

"We are also urging the people to remain vigilant in ensuring your property is secure at all times, even with the lighter nights now upon us."
