A SECTION of a street in Prestonpans has been closed to traffic for three weeks after subsidence was discovered on the road.

A section of North Grange Avenue has been closed from its junction with Redburn Road heading east for 20 metres.

Diversions are in place after an emergency traffic order was issued to allow the closure to take place.

It will remain in place until March 27.

A spokesperson for East Lothian Council said that the subsidence had been discovered following the recent heavy snow earlier in the month but it was not known whether it was weather-related.
