COUNTY residents have swapped a day in the office for a day in the snow as the so-called 'Beast from the East' has forced many to work from home.
Among those, is Councillor Kenny McLeod, a Tranent/Wallyford/Macmerry ward member, who earlier this afternoon (Wednesday) posted a video of himself making the most of the weather. . . by going sledging with his neighbours.

Snow and sub-zero temperatures have seen a red 'be aware' warning issued by the Met Office for much of Scotland, including East Lothian, during which travel is not advised.

Schools across the county will be closed for a second day tomorrow (Thursday), with all enjoyleisure facilities closing early today.
Public transport is also likely to be affected.
