A 35-year-old man has been arrested after police found heroin worth £1,000 in a house in Macmerry.
Officers raided the house on Wednesday and discovered the drugs in the property.
The man was arrested and charged and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Police Constable Ryan Gilhooly of East Lothian’s Community Policing Team said: “The supply and misuse of drugs devastates lives and has an adverse impact on our whole society.
“The curtailing of this activity is a priority for us and we continue to encourage anyone with information about such activity to get in touch with us immediately.”
