SNOW and ice could hit East Lothian on Monday and Tuesday, forecasters believe.
The Met Office has issued a yellow 'be aware' warning of snow and ice for the county, covering the period from 6pm on Monday to 11.55pm on Tuesday.
It says that frequent and heavy snow showers could affect the area from Monday evening onwards, with travel delays possible and a small chance of power cuts.
Untreated roads and pavements are also likely to become icy during this time, creating a skid and slip hazard.
The early forecast for East Lothian suggests that any snow that falls in the county is most likely to do so overnight from Monday into Tuesday, as well as again on Tuesday evening.
