PRESTONPANS boxer Josh Taylor went back to school to present staff with special awards honouring their work.
The former Preston Lodge High School pupil returned for its Star Awards ceremony, which recognises the support staff at the school, from auxiliaries to librarians, office, administration staff and technicians, as well as attendance and development officers.
Gavin Clark, school headteacher, said: “We were delighted to welcome Josh back into Preston Lodge. PLer Josh presented certificates to the ‘Stars in our School’.
“Our wonderful staff make PL a great place to work and this short ceremony was an opportunity for us to say thank you to the real engine room of our school – the non-teaching staff who support, develop and lead learning.”
