A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a break-in to Gullane Primary School.

Computing and camera equipment was stolen during the incident, which took place at about 8.20am on Wednesday. 

Although one man has been charged, police are continuing to look for others who may have been involved, and to recover the items stolen.

These include several laptops and some digital cameras, most of which are marked with East Lothian Council stickers.

Local Community Inspector Andy Hill said: "The prompt action of security staff and police resulted in the recovery of some items of stolen property.

“However we are appealing to anyone who may have information about the outstanding property.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has been offered computing or camera equipment for sale.”

A 22-year-old man is due to appearat Edinburgh Sherrif Court on February 2.
