BRACE yourselves for another bitterly cold night in East Lothian, as the Met Office has issued yet another warning for ice.

Sub-zero temperatures have been a regular occurrence in the county over the last week and tonight the mercury is set to drop below freezing once again, with temperatures likely to be down to about -2C.

The Met Office has issued a yellow 'be aware' warning of ice for East Lothian, covering the period until 11am tomorrow morning (Friday).

The remnants of the lunchtime snow and sleet the county experienced is likely to freeze during the early evening, leading to potentially slippery paths and roads.

It is, however, set to remain dry in East Lothian for the remainder of the day.

Looking further ahead, temperatures are set to remain round about freezing over both Friday and Saturday, but are then expected to improve significantly to about 8-9C from Sunday onwards.
