A RACE meeting at Musselburgh scheduled for this afternoon (Monday) has been abandoned.
The decision to call off was taken yesterday, with freezing temperatures in the county over the weekend.
Harriet Graham, clerk of the course, said: "With overnight temperatures falling to -5C and no prospect of a thaw, we had no choice but to take this decision.”
Anyone who had bought tickets for today's meeting will be able to exchange them or get a refund.

All customers will have the opportunity to exchange or refund tickets.
The next meeting at the county racecourse is on New Year's Day and will also feature the finals of the New Year Sprint.
