A PRESTONPANS man has been admonished after admitting brandishing a wooden brush handle at police.
Jay Lough, of High Street, pleaded guilty to attempting to gain entry to a home on the town’s North Crescent in March when he previously appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Lough attempted to get in by trying the front and back doors of the home before he then waved the broom handle at officers who had been called out to investigate.
Lough was admonished when he appeared for sentencing last Tuesday after the court was told he had been of good behaviour since his guilty plea.
Lough pleaded guilty to attempting to gain entry to the home and to brandishing a brush handle at police at North Crescent, Prestonpans, on March 29.
