LOOKING for ideas of what to do this weekend? Here's five events going on in and around East Lothian:

1. Christmas market

East Lothian Courier:

A Christmas market is held at Loretto School in Musselburgh on Saturday to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease charities.

The market is open to the public and runs 10.30am to 2.30pm at Pinkie House (pictured above), which forms part of the school.

The free event features stalls, refreshments and a raffle, while Santa makes an appearance from 11am to 1pm.

2. Christmas shop and craft fair

A 'one stop shop' for charity opens its doors on Saturday.

Up to 30 different sellers are set to fill the Bleachingfield Centre in Dunbar from 10am to 4pm to benefit the RNLI and East Lothian Special Needs Playscheme.

A charity raffle will also be held.

Meanwhile, a Christmas craft fair takes place in Haddington Corn Exchange on the same day to support Wallyford teenager Danny Burt, who has Bardet Biedl Syndrome.

The craft fair runs from noon to 3pm.

3. Movie screening

A comedy set in the Second World War is screened by NB Movies on Saturday at the Freemasons Hall in North Berwick.

Their Finest tells the story of a British Ministry of Information team making a morale-boosting film about the Dunkirk evacuation.

The movie is shown twice, 4pm and 8pm, with doors opening half an hour earlier.

Tickets from Rock and Bird on High Street until 1pm on the day.

4. Classical concert

James Gilchrist and Anna Tilbrook take to the stage at Haddington Town House on Sunday.

Haddington Concert Society presents the duo performing works by Schumann and Songs of Travel by Vaughan Williams, with the music starting at 3pm.

5. Catching the Past

Cockenzie House and Gardens hosts a special event from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday.

Catching the Past will see plenty of costumes, props and storytelling as people explore what decorations and presents were bought in the past.

Admission is £6 and includes refreshments.
