TWO masked men deliberately drove a 4x4 style vehicle at a young man in Airdrie.
Cops are now investigating the serious assault which happened on Roughcraig Street at around 10.35pm on Tuesday.
Police say the 35-year-old victim was on Roughcraig Street when a black 4x4 style vehicle was deliberately driven at him.
Two masked men then got out briefly before returning to the vehicle and driving off.
The victim was taken to Wishaw General for treatment where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
Detective Inspector Cammy Miller, from Coatbridge CID, said: “This was a reckless and dangerous attack, and extensive enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances and find the individuals responsible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Roughcraig Street last night who may have witnessed a disturbance or noticed a black 4x4 vehicle to please get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Coatbridge CID via 101 and quote incident number 3900 of Tuesday 14 November 2017. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
