A MAN has appeared in court accused of attempted murder following an alleged incident on a country road near to Gifford.
2. Pedestrian killed on A1 slip road
A MAN sadly died after he was struck by a car as he walked on a slip road on the A1.

3. National Marine Centre plans turned down
CONTROVERSIAL plans to create a £5.5m National Marine Centre in North Berwick have been rejected by East Lothian councillors.
4. Post Office scammer left out of pocket
A POLICE investigation is under way after a man attempted to defraud North Berwick Post Office – only to lose a substantial amount of money himself!
5. 100-year-old war hero receives top military honour from Poland
A WHITECRAIG war veteran has received one of the highest Polish accolades for his “extraordinary and distinguished service” during the Second World War.
