A HADDINGTON couple have been given interim anti-social behaviour orders (ASBOs) after complaints from neighbours.
Interim ASBOs have been granted against Robert Fyvie, 37, and Lisa Forrest (also known as Fairgrieve), 41, of Carlyle Gardens, following an application to Edinburgh Sheriff Court by East Lothian Council.
The court was presented with details of the alleged anti-social behaviour of the couple, including shouting and swearing and using abusive and threatening language which allegedly caused discomfort and distress to others.
The terms of the ASBO prohibit Mr Fyvie and Ms Forrest from behaving in a way that causes or is likely to cause alarm or distress to others and includes shouting, swearing and disturbing neighbours at Carlyle Gardens.
A council spokesperson said: “The interim ASBOs served on Mr Fyvie and Ms Forrest have resulted from repeated complaints from neighbouring residents in Carlyle Gardens who have been alarmed and disturbed by their language and behaviour.
"The council’s Safer Communities team worked closely with Police Scotland colleagues to respond to complaints and gather the evidence to present to court.”
