And keen photographers from around the county shared their shots of the evening's entertainment with us.
In North Berwick yesterday (Sunday), East Lothian Yacht Club held their annual display at the harbour with 1,500 people turning up to watch the spectacular show.
For the first time, the yacht club set the fireworks off remotely, using a dedicated electronic device, which ensured a continuous display lasting over 20 minutes.
The display was financially supported by North Berwick Community Council, North Berwick Golf Club, and North Berwick Harbour Trust Association.
Entry to the display was by donation and people gave generously, which will ensure a similar display can be held next year.
In Aberlady, all were welcome to the display at Foxhills Field, Craigielaw Cottages where soup, hot chocolate and mulled wine was enjoyed with a barbecue.
Fa'side Family Fireworks Festival took place on Friday evening at a new venue in Polson Park, Tranent, and attracted huge crowds.
And there were plenty of other displays around the county to keep everyone entertained.
