A LOCAL theatre company has managed the impressive feat of securing the voice of Big Brother to narrate their latest show.

Mad Props Theatre was delighted when Marcus Bentley agreed to narrate their show - but now he is also appearing in person for the performance.

The Glasgow-based group has enlisted Marcus, who has flown up from London for the shows, to be the narrator of Soho Cinders.

Stephen Fry and Sandi Toksvig have previously played the role but Marcus was top of the wish list for Mad Props Theatre.

This is the company's fifth year bringing the musical to the stage of Websters Theatre.

Dominic Spencer, who plays the impoverished student Robbie, said: “As a die hard Big Brother fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled that the iconic voice of Big Brother is narrating our show, especially as he’s a fellow Geordie."

Musical fans are invited to head to the ball on November 3 and 4 to take a journey to the west end of London where Soho Cinders celebrates the capital’s most colourful district.

Marcus will be appearing live on the Friday and Saturday performances.

A modern retelling of Cinderella, this satirical twist on the classic will see James and Robbie’s worlds collide forcing them to fight for their own fairy-tale ending.
