NB Distillery are teaming up with Bon Accord soft drinks to launch a premium tonic.

he partnership is in response to consumer demand for a tonic to compliment NB Distillery’s award-winning NB Gin.

It will be launched in the off-trade this week at Lockett Bros in North Berwick, ahead of a national roll out over the coming year.

The new tonic uses natural quinine and provides a clean, crisp flavour with hints of citrus and vanilla.

Vivienne Muir co-founded NB Distillery with her husband Steve in 2013, is delighted with the new product.

She said: "We know that Britain is a nation of gin lovers and there is a growing trend for speciality and premium tonic.

"In response to this growth, the NB & Bon Accord tonic will not only complement our existing range, but can be enjoyed with a variety of premium spirits.

“We have a love of gin and are passionate about remaining true to its perfected process.

"The Bon Accord collaboration, with its rich heritage and similar ethos and values to us, is the perfect gin and tonic partnership, providing a genuine experience to consumers.”

Meanwhile, the county-based company's new distillery at Halfland Barns near Tantallon Castle is set to open its doors in time for Christmas.

The new tonic will be available at Lockett Bros at 95p per bottle, or £20 for a case.
