TWO women have been given antisocial behaviour orders in two towns in East Lothian after causing alarm and distress to residents.
Sharon Fairgrieve, 40, Cairds Row, Musselburgh was handed an interim antisocial behaviour order (ASBO) after Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told she had been alleged to have been fighting, swearing, slamming doors and causing "discomfort and distress" to others.
Ms Fairgrieve was banned from acting in a manner likely to cause distress or disturb neighbours at Cairds Row and New Street in Musselburgh as well as Princess Mary Road, Haddington.
East Lothian Council applied for the ban.
A spokesman said: "Ms Fairgrieve has a history of acting in an antisocial manner in East Lothian and particularly at specific addresses in both Musselburgh and Haddington."
Meanwhile an interim ASBO has also been issued against Amanda Winter, 44, of Carlyle Gardens, Haddington.
The court was told there had been reports of Ms Winter being involved in alleged incidence including shouting, swearing, and using threatening, aggressive and abusive language that caused discomfort and distress to others.
She has been banned from acting in such a manner on Carlyle Gardens.
A council spokesperson said: "Ms Winter's antisocial behaviour has caused considerable distress to neighbours and others within her local community."
