A BEER festival returns to a North Berwick hotel next month after its success last year.
Nether Abbey hosts the festival of events November 3-5, with a weekend-long raffle set to benefit the town’s RNLI lifeboat station.
Stirling Stewart, who owns Nether Abbey, on the town’s Dirleton Avenue, said: “We are excited about the 2017 beer festival, with over 40 top real ales on offer and some excellent live music lined up as well.
“This year we have some new beers from Scotland and around the UK, including CAMRA prize winners and gluten-free ales, as well as some old favourites and even our own special Fly Half Festival Ale brewed by Stewart Brewing.
“We are also planning to raise around £2,500 for the RNLI in North Berwick with a grand beer festival raffle.”
Events kick off at noon on Friday, November 3, and that evening sees a performance from Full Fat, a well-established guitar band.
On Saturday, blues and soul singer Hugh Kelly is on, followed in the evening by Davy Holt, who has a big following in East Lothian having played at the Nether Abbey on New Year’s Day for many years.
Finally on Sunday the Mellotones, a local swing band, perform.
As well as the real ale, customers will be able to enjoy food and a selection of beers, wines and spirits.
