THE remnants of Hurricane Ophelia are likely to bring extremely strong winds to East Lothian tonight and into tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow 'be aware' warning of high winds for the county covering the period from midnight tonight to 3pm tomorrow.
The storm that was previously Hurricane Ophelia in the Atlantic is due to hit the UK today, with Northern Ireland and the west of Britain bearing the brunt, but East Lothian is also expected to be affected later on.
In East Lothian, winds are set to pick up by 9pm, with gusts ranging from 40mph to 60mph expected from that period up to tomorrow afternoon.
The Met Office says residents should be braced for possible disruption to travel, while adding there is a slight chance of power cut.
