A PRESTONPANS man who was accused of threatening and abusive behaviour in his street has been given a two-year Anti -Social Behaviour Order (ASBO).

Alexander Manclarke, 49, who lives on High Street, is banned from swearing and disturbing his neighbours or behaving in a manner likely to cause alarm or distress to to others.

East Lothian Council won the ASBO at Edinburgh Sheriff Court where they produced a dossier of evidence including incidents within and around properties in the High Street including loud arguments and causing damage to external doors.

A council spokesperson said: "“The ASBO served on Mr Manclarke applies for 24 months and has resulted from repeated complaints from residents in High Street, Prestonpans who have been alarmed and disturbed by his behaviour.

"The council’s Safer Communities team worked closely with Police Scotland colleagues to respond to complaints and gather the evidence to present to court.”
