A FATHER and son plumbing business is offering a £1,000 to anyone who can find their stolen work van after it was taken in broad daylight.

Lewis Archibald, was on a job in Bridge Street, Tranent, when two thieves made off with his van, which had thousands of pounds worth of tools in the back.

The theft was even captured on the dashcam of a car parked behind the van as it was taken at around 3.20pm on Tuesday.

Now Lewis and his dad James, whose business is based in Musselburgh, are offering the reward for any information which will help them get the van, which is emblazoned with their firm's J.M.Archibald & Son Plumbing & Heating Services name and contact telephone number.

Lewis said: "I was working in Bridge Street when the van was stolen. They must have had a masterkey to get into it.

"We're appealing for help finding it and have been driving around all night in search of it.

"It was full of tools and we really want to get it back."

Lewis has launched an appeal on Facebook for help getting the van back and received reports of it being seein in the Leith area of Edinburgh with two youths aged between 15 and 18 driving it.

Anyone with information can contact him on the company mobile number 07788 458784.
