PLANNING permission is being sought to convert a long-closed pub in Musselburgh into a restaurant.
Work has already started at The Stand, a former pub, because the applicant Idris Khan was not aware consent was needed from East Lothian Council to change its use to a restaurant.
The planning application stated that work started at the premises at 72-74 High Street in March last year and stopped three months later.
A decision is awaited.
