SIX people have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash between Gullane and Dirleton.
The A198 was shut in both directions between Dirleton and Gullane for several hours following the accident, which happened just after 10.30am.
Police were joined at the scene by fire crews from Haddington and North Berwick, but the road has since re-opened.
Of the seven occupants of the two vehicles, six have been taken to hospital with what Police Scotland describe as "non-life-threatening injuries".
The Courier understands that the seventh person involved in the incident was uninjured.
Anyone who may have witnessed this incident and has not yet spoken to officers is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1093 of July 19, 2017.
