INVESTIGATIONS are under way after break-ins to outbuildings in Prestonpans and Tranent.
At about 5.30am this morning (Thursday), entry was forced to a garage in Carlaverock Crescent, Tranent, and a Suzuki DRZ motorcycle was stolen.
Police are working to trace the bike and those responsible and anyone with any information should contact police.
Officers are also investigating after a shed in Dr Gracie Drive and a garage in North Grange Avenue, Prestonpans, were broken into overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
No items appear to have been stolen but police are eager to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in these areas over the past couple of days.
Sergeant Derek MacDonald, from Tranent Police Station, said: "At this time we are working to establish if these incidents are linked and would urge anyone who believes they can assist with our inquiries to contact police immediately.
"In addition, anyone who can help us identify the culprits should also get in touch.

Those with information can contact officers at Tranent Police station via 101 and quote incident numbers 1049 and 3291 of the 12th or incident number 737 of the 13th July.
Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
