TWO people are in hospital after a serious incident in Longniddry last night.
Police were called to the village shortly after 9pm after reports a man had been found stabbed on Main Street.
Officers discovered a 34-year-old man at the scene and a 51-year-old woman in a house. Both were said to have suffered serious injuries.
Police closed a section of the road following the discovery.
This morning a property on the street was cordoned off as forensics teams continued investigations.
However officers said they were not looking for anyone else.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to an address in Longniddry at 9.15pm where a 34-year-old man and 51-year-old woman were found with serious injuries.
"Officers are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident."
