GAS works are set to affect two busy Haddington roads for up to two months.
Knox Place will be closed between Meadowpark and the junction for Station Road and Court Street for up to four weeks from July 3.
Access will be maintained for local residents at all times with a signed diversion also in place.
The second phase will see temporary traffic lights in place at the junction of Court Street and Knox Place.
Again, the works are expected to last approximately three to four weeks.
According to SGN: “We're investing £550,000 to upgrade 4km of our gas network in Knox Place and Court Street in Haddington.
“This essential work involves the replacement of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.”
