A PRESTONPANS hairdresser has been ordered to pay a fine after admitting racially abusing a woman in the town.
Lori Colquhoun shouted and swore at Ayesha Wilson at McGregor Pend, Prestonpans, earlier this year.
Colquhoun, 25, also banged her fists on a car window Ms Wilson was travelling in before going on to make racial slurs towards the woman.
Colquhoun, of McGregor Pend, also uttered threats of violence during the incident on March 13.
The hairdresser appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday, where she pleaded guilty to the racially aggravated charge.
Two further charges of damaging property at Laburnum Arch Court, Prestonpans, and threatening to damage property during a phone call to an ex-partner at Broomhall Avenue, Edinburgh, both last October 15, were dropped by the Crown following not guilty pleas.
Colquhoun was fined £400 for the use of racially offensive language towards Ms Wilson.
