EAST Lothian has been enjoying a heatwave over the last few days, with temperatures in the mid-20s over the weekend and today.
Weather experts say temperatures will drop overnight but the sunshine will continue through the week.
The weekend heatwave is expected to drop off over the next 12 hours with the Met Office predicting a much cooler night ahead.
However they say warm weather will carry on through the week with temperatures remaining in the high teens until Friday.
Wednesday is expected to bring a warm and humid day with a threat of heavy thundery rain across East Lothian.
Thursday will be mainly dry but showers are expected to return overnight bring a fresher, cooler day on Friday when temperatures are expected to be around 17C.
