A ROAD has been closed after two cars were involved in a collision which has left at least one person needing medical attention.
Police said an ambulance was at the scene of the accident, which happened on the B6355 between Pencaitland and Boggs Holding shortly after 3pm.
The road is expected to remain closed as debris is cleared and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was called the the scene of the accident near Boggs Holdings, at about 3.15pm.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was trapped in either vehicle with the firefighters, from Musselburgh and Haddington, making the vehicles safe.
