A POLICE investigation is under way after a high specification Ford Transit van was stolen from a driveway in Port Seton.
The incident happened in Poplar Park at some point between 10pm last night (Thursday) and 2am this morning (Friday).
The vehicle is a Ford Transit Custom with the registration SK15 YCC and is metallic blue.
Inside, there was a very large cool box strapped down containing gourmet food items, which were ready to be sold.
Officers are now asking for anyone with information that can assist them with their investigation to please get in contact.
Constable Gordon Martin, of the community investigation unit in Musselburgh, said: “This is a distinctive looking van that the owner uses for his livelihood and we are convinced someone will have seen it and have information that can assist us in our investigation.
“Similarly if anyone is offered any of the gourmet food items for sale, we would like to hear from them.
“Anyone with information that can assist us with our inquiries is asked to contact us on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
