A TEENAGER arrested following a serious assault on a man in Tranent was found to be carrying bags of cocaine.
The 17-year-old was arrested following an incident at a house in Moffat Walk, on Friday, March 10.
Police Scotland said the teenage male had been charged in connection with the assault as well as drugs offences.
A spokesperson said: "He was also charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after officers recovered a quantity of cocaine during his arrest and was scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court."
