YOU might have thought that winter was over, but the Met Office has issued a weather warning for East Lothian predicting snow this week.
The yellow 'be aware' warning covers the period from 2am on Thursday to 6pm that same day.
The current forecast for Thursday predicts heavy snow all morning for most of East Lothian, gradually turning to sleet at about lunch time.
The Met Office says snow accumulations of 5-10cm are expected on some hills, with 2-5cm possible to lower levels.
The Met Office adds that possible strong winds could cause drifting of snow and blizzard conditions over high ground. Associated heavy rain at lower levels will be an additional hazard, it adds.
Disruption to transport is expected, while there is also the potential for power supplies to be affected.
