A THIRD set of plans have been submitted in a bid to transform a village’s former medical centre.
Ormiston Medical Practice moved from Sprinty Drive to Tynemount Road more than two years ago.
Since then, the empty site has been considered for housing, with proposals first submitted in March last year.
The proposals, from Mr Rafique, of Archerfield, for six houses and two flats have since been withdrawn.
A second set of plans, again from Mr Rafique, were submitted last May and looked at six homes for the site. Those proposals remain live but a third set, from the same applicant, are now with East Lothian Council looking at the possibility of four houses on the site.
Scott Gillies, chairman of Ormiston Community Council, said that he did not have any objection to the latest set of plans but said that the application would be discussed at the group’s next meeting.
He added: “I don’t envisage any complaints coming from us.”
