POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into and items stolen in a day-time raid.
The break-in was discovered by home owners when they returned from work on Monday evening.
Officers said thieves had forced their way into the house in Glassel Park Road, Longniddry, some time between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
They would only say "household items" were taken during the robbery.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has information is urged to contact them through 101.
