PROPOSALS for more than 100 new homes on the outskirts of Dunbar are expected to be with East Lothian Council within a matter of months.

Early plans for housing at Newtonlees Farm, east of the town, were displayed in September.

The proposals, located south of the A1087, suggested “around 100” homes on the 8.3-hectare site, with 1.3 hectares for a potential extension to Deer Park Cemetery, which is on the opposite side of the road.

Four potential access points were highlighted, including from the A1087, with a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) pond also included on the site.

Gladman Developments held the exhibition in the Dunmuir Hotel and Greg Limb, speaking to the Courier, said they were still working on the plans, which would be submitted “hopefully in the early part of [this] year”.
