A SECOND weather warning has been issued for East Lothian, this time warning of high winds.

The Met Office previously issued a yellow 'be aware' warning for possible snow in the county this Thursday and Friday.

Now it has issued a second yellow warning, this one for high winds affecting the county tomorrow morning (Wednesday).

The warning covers the period from 1am to 11am tomorrow.

The Met Office says a spell of very windy weather is expected during Wednesday night and into the morning, with the west to northwesterly wind likely to gust 60mph in places, locally 75mph over high ground.

It adds that some disruption to road travel is likely and commuters are urged to use caution.
