PRIMARY 4 pupils from St Martin's Primary School paid a surprise visit to an elderly Tranent resident to share some festive cheer.

The youngsters were visiting the offices of Beyond Homecare! in the town when they heard about one of the firm's clients who was housebound.

And after performing for staff and clients at the care firm's offices, they headed to his house to surprise him with a mini carol concert.

Beyond Homecare!, which is based in Loch Road, in the town, is run by Pamoja, which recently took over Allan Ross Nursing and Homecare in the town.

Run by Gavin and Louis Stedman-Bryce, the company provides home care services and also supports local charities with free training.

They shared this video of the young pupils entertaining the delighted elderly resident.

Gavin said: "Following the carol concert at our office, the festive carol singers staged a mini concert for one of our housebound customers, who absolutely loves Christmas.

We are immensely grateful to all the teachers at St Martin’s Primary School for helping us make this possible. Happy Christmas everyone from all of us at Beyond Homecare!"
