MOTORISTS who have had to suffer weeks of delays due to roadworks at Strawberry Corner, near Wallyford, have breathed a sigh of relief that the works have now been completed.
All that is left to do is install permanent street lighting.
A spokeswoman for East Lothian Council said no traffic lights would be needed for this, adding that the roadworks were now complete.
She said: “The current lighting is temporary but this will be connected within the next few weeks.”
Motorists have had to endure weeks of a four-way traffic light system at the Wallyford Toll roundabout, which caused long queues.
This was to enable a new roundabout and access routes to be built in connection with a development of 1,500 houses being constructed at St Clements Wells, Wallyford.
