A MAN has appeared in court in connection with an alleged robbery at a Tranent store.
Derek Inverarity, whose address was given as Dalkeith, appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week accused of assault and robbery.
No plea or declaration was given and Inverarity was committed for further examination and released on bail.
The 38-year-old accused will return to court at a date still to be determined.
The robbery and assault are alleged to have taken place at the Tranent Mini-Market on the town’s New Row on August 18.
