A WALLYFORD man has been banned from driving, after he admitted failing to stop for police.

Harrison Burke failed to stop for a police car and drove at excessive speeds during an incident in Prestonpans last year.

Burke, of Park Drive, was pursued through Appin Drive by officers in a marked patrol car who had their lights and siren activated.

But the 21-year-old ignored their instructions to pull over and was seen crossing over into the opposing carriageway on November 7.

Burke pleaded guilty to the dangerous driving charge.

Sentence was deferred to September 22 for reports and he was handed an interim driving ban in the meantime.
