It's time to apply to stand for the community council elections
NOMINATION forms for the county’s community council elections will be available from Monday.
Elections will be held across the county at the 20 East Lothian community councils.
Forms will be available from council offices, libraries, community centres and sport centres and can be downloaded from www.eastlothian.gov.uk Anyone over 16 who resides, works, owns or leases property, or is registered as a local government elector in the relevant community council area for the past 12 months, can stand as a community councillor.
Nomination papers must be delivered to John Muir House, in Haddington, or any local area office before 4pm on September 15.
