TWO men have been arrested and charged after a house was broken into in Gullane.

The break-in took place at an address on Hopetoun Crescent and was reported on Tuesday.

Now, two men, aged 17 and 23, have been charged and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector Alan Hogarth of Haddington said: “Having you home broken into is undoubtedly one of the most personal crimes someone can experience.

“We’re committed to pursuing perpetrators and will use all resources at our disposal to do so.

“I’d urge the public to remain vigilant in taking all reasonable precautions to ensure their homes are kept secure, and to report any suspicious activity to us as soon as possible."
