A PUBLIC exhibition showcasing proposals for potentially 100 homes on the outskirts of East Linton took place last week.
Holder Planning and Stewart Milne Homes are looking at Pencraig Hill, to the west of Andrew Meikle Grove. The site was highlighted in the recent proposed draft Local Development Plan (LDP).
A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) was submitted to East Lothian Council late last year.
A spokesman for Stewart Milne Homes told the Courier: “Stewart Milne Homes are very pleased to be holding the public engagement event in East Linton.
“The feedback received will assist us in preparing our planning application, which will be submitted to the council thereafter.”
The exhibition took place in the village’s council chambers last Thursday.
In the council's draft LDP, the site is allocated for “a residential development of circa 100 homes”. It states: “A comprehensive masterplan for the entire allocated site that confirms to the relevant Development Brief will be required. Any development here is subject to the mitigation of any development related impacts, including on a proportionate basis for any cumulative impacts with other proposals including on the transport network and on education and community facilities.”
