Golfers in Longniddry were met with an obstacle with a difference last week as a massive sinkhole appeared on the course.
The hole, estimated to be about five feet deep, appeared in front of the seventh tee at the county course last Friday.
It is believed to have been caused by the recent bad weather.
A post on the club's Facebook page highlighted the sinkhole.
The club wrote: "Impressive sink hole in front of 7th tee. The rake is 5ft long and standing on rock floor.
"Water must be 4ft deep and no idea how far it extends. Think it's coming from burn beside Dean Road flowing underground.
A spokesperson for the golf club confirmed the course has remained open for play.
And on Facebook, the club urged golfers to "exercise extreme care" when playing the seventh hole.
