A BRAZEN shoplifter who walked out of a Tesco store with £378 in computer games has been fined £270.

Heather Ann Fraser, 35, from Musselburgh, and an accomplice stole nine computer games from the Duloch Park store in Dunfermline on March 26, 2014.

She was seen at about 3pm carrying a large bag over her shoulder.

A young male was also seen taking nine computer games, worth £42 each. He met Fraser at the end of the aisle and was seen to place the items into her bag.

Fraser left the store, tried to purchase a chilled drink and did not make any attempt to pay for the items in her bag.

She was then stopped by a member of staff but got into a car and drove off.

Police managed to trace her and found she had warrants outstanding. The stolen items were not recovered.

At the time, Sheriff Simon Collins noted Fraser's “record of directly analogous offending” and warned: “She has an opportunity to decide where her priorities lie – taking care of her children or returning to a life of criminal activity, where we will have to separate her from her children.”

Fraser, of Stoneybank Gardens North, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court again last Wednesday for sentencing.

She admitted stealing a quantity of computer games while acting with another.

Sheriff Craig McSherry fined her £270, payable at £10 a fortnight.
