A SECOND North Berwick Health Fair has been announced, featuring even more talks from doctors, authors, nutritionists and therapists.

Changes have been made to the inaugural health fair, which was held last summer, bringing it forward to March and moving it from North Berwick Community Centre to the more central location of St Andrew Blackadder Church.

The fair will also encompass a 5km family fun run and treasure hunt.

Pippa Machetto, fair organiser, said: “One of the things that came up last year was that it was difficult to get to the community centre. [The church] is more user-friendly and right on the main street, “It is a much bigger premises. Therapists last year found it too crowded.” There will be about 40 exhibitors, educating on all aspects of health, wellness, fitness and lifestyle improvements, as well as health screening tests, nutritional advice, educational tables, such as a fun hands-on disability awareness table, and a ‘grow your own salad’ table.

“The goal of this event is to motivate the community in a fun, informative way to make positive health changes,” explained Pippa.

“We want to show everyone it’s fun to be healthy. One slight change in our lives cam make us so much happier.” The event takes place on March 22, 10am till 4pm. There are still spaces open for potential exhibitors from East Lothian. To find out more or to book a place, email Pippa at northberwick healthfair@yahoo.co.uk
